Windows 95/98 Connection Setup

Before you begin, make sure you have the local dialup number for your area, and your Quicksilver Username and Password.

On your desktop, double click on My Computer > Dialup Networking

Double click MAKE NEW CONNECTION

Type Quicksilver
Click Next

Area code - leave blank
Telephone number - enter your local dialup number. (Click here for a list of local dialup numbers)
Country/region code - Select New Zealand (64)

Click NEXT

Click on FINISH

Untick the Box which Says "Use Area Code and Dialing Properties"

Click on the Server Types tab
Make Sure The Only Boxes Ticked Are The Ones Shown

Click OK

Right-click on Quicksilver and choose 'Create Shortcut'
On the box that pops up, click 'Yes'

Close the Dialup Networking Window by clicking on the cross.
Find the new Quicksilver shortcut on your desktop.

When you want to Connect to the Internet:
Doubleclick the shortcut to Quicksilver, and type in your Quicksilver Username and Password.
Tick the 'Save Password' box.
