Uploading your Website to Quicksilver

Step 1: Apply for the space

If your Quicksilver Internet account comes with free webspace, you will need to activate it before you can upload. You can test whether your webspace is active by visiting the page at http://pages.quicksilver.net.nz/username (replace username with your own username)

Click here to activate your webspace if required

Please allow about 5 minutes after activating the webspace for your request to be processed.

Step 2: Uploading your website

Once you have created your website in your preferred HTML editing program, you will need to upload the files. Below are the settings to do this, and links to tutorials on setting up some of the popular programs.

FTP Host: www-upload.quicksilver.net.nz

Note: Premium Linux & Windows NT Hosting customers should use username.qsihost.co.nz as the FTP Host

Upload Directory: /doc/
Username: usually your normal Quicksilver username
Password: usually your normal Quicksilver password

Note: If you are on ADSL, or behind a firewall, you must use PASSIVE MODE for FTP.
